Two more new faces at Station Road

Manager John Ryan has added two more names to his squad for the coming season. Twenty-four year old former Kilkenny City centre back Willie Tyrrell  has joined his former team-mate Michael Comerford in the Thoroughbreds training camp at Celbridge Football Park.

John Brophy formerly of UCD, who spent the ’06 season on loan to Kilkenny City  and was loaned to Shelbourne last season has also signed up for County. The unfortunate Brophy sustained a serious ankle injury at the start of the '07 season and did not figure in the Shels side. John, who is twenty-one, is equally at home at centre back or centre forward.

Both say they are looking forward to the new challenge with County and hope to impress the manager in the upcoming friendlies against Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.
